The Blue Ridge Mountains have many different state and national parks that offer nearly unlimited outdoor recreation.

Popular outdoor activities, including hiking, mountain biking, climbing, and camping.

Waterfalls

Looking Glass Falls

The Blue Ridge Mountains are full of hundreds of named waterfalls and thousands of smaller unnamed falls.

The Blue Ridge Mountains are often called the "Land of waterfalls" due to having one of the highest concentrations of waterfalls in the United States.

One of our favorite things to do is find and explore waterfalls.

So far, we've visited over 70, and have written up full travel guides for many Blue Ridge Mountain waterfalls. These guides all have photos and often videos as well.

Here are all of our waterfalls guides in alphabetical order.

Hiking Trails

Hiking Trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains

There are thousands of miles of hiking trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains and that includes trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

These trails lead to incredible scenic views, historical locations, locations of geographical interest, and waterfalls.

We love hiking, and love being out on the trail in these mountains. We have been hiking for more than 20 years, and are considered hiking experts by many.

The guides provide photos and personal information about our experience hiking each of the trails.

Some of the trail guides even offer videos of our hikes on them.

Hiking Tips and Gear

Oboz Hiking Boots from the Front

While hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and get some great exercise, hiking can be a dangerous activity if you don't have the correct gear and supplies.

Hiking can also be very hard on these mountains as well, so be sure to always practice Leave No Trace.

To help you bring along the right gear, properly prepare for your hikes, and be safe when out on the trail, we have a number of hiking guides to help you.

Scenic Drives
