Founded in Blue Ridge, GA, in 1943, Mercier Orchards has always been one of the top attractions in Georgia. Along with apples, the orchard grows blueberries, strawberries, peaches, and blackberries. They have the option of U-Pick, so you can choose from whatever they have available during your visit.
The Bakery & Market Cafe provides plenty of apple goods—cider, apple butter, fritters, and more—and the Farm Winery is the place where Georgia’s first hard apple cider was made. Don’t forget to stop by and check out the market, store, either.
2 - Johnson's Orchards VA
Johnson’s Orchards is a family-owned business in Bedford, VA. They have around 200 different varieties of apples, with flowers and peaches available throughout the year. You can pick the apples yourselves or take some from that have already been pre-picked.
The winery is a good place to visit, and the store has all sorts of goods you can buy, from apple goods to other local items. Last but not least, feel free to grab some animal feed so you can feed the animals in their petting zoo.
3 - R & A's Orchards GA
R & A’s Orchard at Ellijay, Georgia, was founded in 1947. Their orchard consists of 60 acres of apple trees, along with peaches, strawberries, and nectarines. The Roadside Market is the perfect place to buy some peach salsa, apple cider, butter, and more.
