Meet your local guides
Hi, we’re Larry and Jenn.
We’re the photographers and writers behind Blue Ridge Mountain Life. We live in the Waynesville and Maggie Valley area of Western North Carolina, and we’ve spent more than 20 years exploring these mountains and raising our family here.
Some of our favorite Christmas memories came from big outings, like seeing Biltmore decorated for Christmas. Others came from walking through local tree farms while the kids insisted we look at just a few more trees.
We’ve enjoyed Biltmore, Winter Lights, the Polar Express, Tweetsie Christmas, A Flat Rock Playhouse Christmas, downtown celebrations, and local tree farms. This guide brings that personal experience together with the details that help a trip go smoothly.
Our Christian faith is at the heart of Christmas for our family. We love the lights, the music, and the time together, and celebrating the birth of Jesus gives this season its deepest meaning for us.
